Review
(by Cindy)
Promises is the
final book in the Web of Sin trilogy
by Aleatha Romig.
It took me a while to finish this book, not because it
wasn’t amazing (for me, everything by Aleatha Romig is amazing), but because I
just didn’t want to leave the world of spiders and Sparrows.
Aleatha creates a fantasy underworld that, I admit, sometimes
made me feel guilty for loving so much. In real life I would never condone the things that I found
myself accepting - even excusing – when it came to Sterling Sparrow.
Undoubtedly, it’s because of the skillful way the author creates characters who are both believable and endearing.
It took me more than a week to finish Promises, and by the time I reached the
end – oh, and what an incredible end it is – I grabbed book one and started reading all over again. And, that is something
I have done only a handful of times ever.
It was wonderful it to be back in the kind of dark and
seductive world that only Aleatha Romig can create. Don't mind me. I think I’ll just
stay here in Chicago for a little while longer.
