ABOUT EASY MAGIC:

The Boudreaux Series. Sexy. Intriguing. Easy.

Family. Responsibility. Stability.

As the co-CEO of Bayou Enterprises, and the eldest of the Boudreaux clan, Beau is the epitome of these. Now that his baby sister Gabby is happily settled down, Beau has moved into the company loft in the heart of the French Quarter to be closer to his office while his own home is built. He doesn’t have time for anything but the family he adores and the company that drives him.

If only the bewitching owner of the herb shop downstairs from Beau’s loft wasn’t so damn tempting.

Mallory Adams is living the life. The good life. The best life for her. After years of hiding who she is, and the gifts she’s been cursed with, Mallory opened her little shop in the French Quarter, offering herbs and lotions for anything from soothing a sunburn to chasing those pesky ghosts New Orleans is known for out of a client’s home. Some call her eccentric, and some say she’s simply odd, and that’s okay with her. She is a bit odd, but in her experience, all of the best people are.

When an old pipe bursts in the loft above her store, flooding her storeroom, Mallory comes face to face with Beau Boudreaux, and she doesn’t need the clairvoyant abilities that have been passed down through generations to know that she’ll never be the same. Beau is her exact opposite; serious, straitlaced. He wears suits for Pete’s sake and probably wouldn’t know the difference between arnica and flaxseed if his life depended on it. But when he touches her, the electricity is through the roof and she’s smart enough to know that a chemistry like theirs doesn’t happen every day.

Can two people so very different possibly find their way to happily ever after?

Review
(By Cindy)

Easy Magic is the fifth book in the Boudreaux series by Kristen Proby, and it’s Beau’s story. First of all, Beau Boudreaux… his name is just fun to say, but the fascination doesn’t stop there. Beau is the oldest of the Boudreaux children. He may be the deep- (his Daddy would even say over-) thinker of the family, but he’s also the stable, dependable one. His feet are firmly planted on the ground and always have been. Beau is cool, calm and collected. In fact, it’s just that kind of composure that has piqued Mallory’s interest.

On the outside, Mallory Adams may seem to have a similar calm demeanor, but what’s going on inside her mind – or better said, what she’s trying to stop from going on inside her mind – is what really vexes her. It’s no wonder that the tranquility she feels whenever she’s around Beau, and especially when they touch, is so damn appealing. But don’t mistake tranquil for lackluster – Beau and Mallory together are anything but dull. Not only is their dialogue sharp and playful, but there’s definitely no shortage of intensity when it comes to their sexy times!

Easy Magic was unique by way of comparison to other books in this series. The story dabbles in the mystical, and that generally doesn’t appeal to me, but don’t underestimate Kristen Proby’s gift of storytelling. She carefully and with great skill wove the preternatural into the plot in such a way that it just seemed natural.

As with other books in her series, prior characters make cameo appearances, and that always makes me feel like I’m checking in with old friends.  I'm sure gonna miss these guys when the series is over.  Easy Magic is easily a series favorite for me!

Five enchanting, magical stars.

Excerpt

“I’ve always had a knack for knowing what people need,” she says softly, as if she’s choosing her words very carefully. I don’t know why that bothers me. I want her to speak her mind, to not have to censor what she says.
But this is a good start.
“In what way?”
“Maybe someone has headaches, or their feet hurt. I have essential oils and herbs that can help with those things.”
I nod.
“My grandmother taught me all about alternative medicine from the time I was a child. She wasn’t crazy with it,” she says quickly, “she still believed in western medicine as well, but why take a pain reliever full of chemicals if you can just put a drop of oil on the back of your neck to get the same result?”
She shrugs and reaches for the dessert, smiles when she opens the box, and digs in with enthusiasm.
“I thought it would be fun to open a store full of those things,” she continues. “I wanted the bottles to be pretty, and everything to be tied with a bow. I wanted a place where people enjoyed coming in, even if only to browse. It smells good, the energy is calming.”
And I realize that that’s exactly how I feel whenever I’ve been in her store.
“I’d say you’ve accomplished those things.”
“Thank you.” Her smile is huge and genuine. “That’s really the best compliment I could ever get.”
“Really?” I cock a brow and watch her lashes flutter. “I’d also say you’re stunning. I want to bury my fingers in that amazing curly hair of yours.”
There must be something in the food that’s making me speak so freely. But Mallory seems to bring out my flirty side.
I’d forgotten that I had a flirty side.
Her smile slips just a bit, and her cheeks flush, and I know she’d look just like that when I’m buried balls deep inside her.
“That’s very nice of you.”
“But not what you want to hear.”
“Well, don’t get me wrong, every woman wants to be told she’s pretty.”
“I didn’t say pretty,” I reply and lean in, resting my elbows on her desk. “’Pretty’ is too dull of a word to describe you.”
“You’re an interesting man,” she says, tilting her head to the side and studying my face with narrowed violet eyes. “You just say whatever you’re feeling.”
“Not always,” I reach out to tuck her hair behind her ear and she stiffens. I pause, keeping my eyes pinned to hers before I slowly brush just the pads of my fingertips over the outline of her ear, tucking that soft curly hair, then lowering my hand back to the desk. “But I see no reason to not be honest with you.”
“I opened this shop because I love it,” she says, her voice still soft but firm. She’s not weak in any way, and that pulls at me like a siren’s song. “I want to help people if I can, even if it’s just to moisturize their hands. And I like this building.”
“There are other streets with more foot traffic.”
“And I like where I am,” she says again. “I do well here.”
“I’m glad you do.” I nod and without giving it much thought, reach out to pull my fingertips over her hand. My eyes are watching hers as I do, and I can see the hesitation just before I touch her, and then the relief when my skin rests on hers.
She doesn’t like to be touched.
“Tell me more,” I say softly.
“That’s all there is about the store.”
“Tell me about you.”
She pulls her hand out from under mine and sits back in her chair. “I think you’d better go, before I tell you more than I want to.”
I cock a brow. “I’m a fan of honesty.”
“Good.” She nods once and begins loading the empty boxes in the trash. “I’m in favor of being honest, and in that same spirit, I’m exhausted, Beau.”
“I know. I am, too.”
But I’m not ready to say goodbye to her yet. I’m afraid that we’ll go our separate ways, and I won’t see her again.
“What are you thinking?” she asks.
“That I want to see you again.”
“You live upstairs from my shop,” she reminds me. “I don’t see how we could avoid it.”
“We avoided it for a damn long time,” I say and stand, shoving my hands in my pockets. “But I won’t make that mistake again.”

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aleatha Romig is showing us a lighter side in this new fun, sexy new stand-alone, PLUS ONE releasing on May 16th! We are so thrilled to share this fabulous cover to you today.

  ARPlusOneBookCover6x9_MEDIUM

A fun, sexy new stand-alone from New York Times bestselling author Aleatha Romig.

He's sexy and confident, the kind of man every woman notices. You know, the one with the to-die-for body and panty-melting smirk. And then there's the way his designer suits drape over his broad shoulders and big...well, we've all heard the rumors, the ones that say he's up for any challenge.

But I can't see him that way. He's my boss—technically one of the owners of the company where I work—and definitely not in my league. Men like him don't notice women like me, and they don't date them.

And I don't date men like him.

Until that one time that I catch him in a compromising position when I'm also in need of a last-minute date for a wedding...and then it's not real. It's blackmail.

For one weekend, he's my plus-one.

Beautiful and unobtainable.

From the moment she walked into my office with those stunning blue eyes and crazy sensual curves, she's been on my mind. Three years and never once has she acted interested in me. Usually I flash a million-dollar smile and women fall to their knees, some literally.

Not her.

Then on the occasion that I agree to let another woman do that—fall to her knees—guess who happens to catch us?

It may not be the most conventional way to get on her radar, but I didn't get this far in business without knowing when to seize an opportunity. If this sexy little firecracker with perfectly kissable lips thinks she can blackmail me into attending her cousin's wedding, I'm going to jump at the chance to be her plus-one.

You love her darker side. Now it's time to meet Leatha, the lighter side of Aleatha, as she trades her renowned twists and turns for laughs and love with this sexy new stand-alone romance, PLUS ONE.

EXCERPT

I turn to look at him and he’s leaning against the door jamb, watching me with lust written all over his face. I don’t have to be psychic to see it. He wants me. He slowly pushes away from the door and moves toward me, his shoulders broad in the white button down shirt, his arms hard where the shirt is rolled to his elbows. His jaw tightens as he gets closer, towering over me because he’s so damn tall, but I’m not afraid of him in the least.

He doesn’t say a word as he lifts his hand to cup my cheek, his thumb brushing under my eye. I wrap my hand around his wrist and lean into his touch, soaking up his warmth. God, I’ve missed being touched. Being touch by Beau is like being touched for the first time in my life, and I never want him to stop.

He lowers his lips to mine, brushes them lightly, nibbles the corner, and then sinks in for the kiss of my life. He gently urges my mouth open, and licks my lips, and devours me. His hand dives into my hair, and the wall is suddenly at my back as he continues to explore me in ways I didn’t even know existed. He braces his free hand on the wall above my head, and I fist my hands in his shirt at his sides, holding on for dear life.

Finally, he pulls back, breathing hard, his eyes bright and dilated. And in the moment, I know. His touch is safe. I can trust it. Him. I’m not bombarded with someone else’s emotions, and I am free to simply feel my own while being intimate with him. “So that’s what all the hoopla’s about.” He smirks, and I realize I spoke aloud again, but I’m not embarrassed. Not in the least. He takes a deep breath and drags his knuckles down my cheek.

“I want to keep you here all night,” he murmurs before kissing my forehead. “So I’d better take you home.”

I smile. He could talk me into staying. But he’s not. And I’ll be damned if that doesn’t make me like him even more.

Synopsis

The first time Adeline Ivey danced into my life, high on ecstasy instead of life, was at the party before the kickoff of our seventh tour. I spotted her out on the lawn, a gorgeous girl spinning around in circles with her arms wide and a big smile directed at the Los Angeles sky.

We shared an insane summer on the road, surrounded by sex, drugs, and rock n' roll—a combination that could only end in disaster.

That was ten years ago. The world has forgotten Lincoln Hayes, rock god and guitarist in Path of Destruction. As the date of my parole hearing approaches, I'm nothing but a number in the system of the Michigan Department of Corrections. And as much as I want to forget the events of that summer and move on, the girl I can't get out of my head is trying to make an encore appearance in my life.

Excerpt

2007
Lincoln Hayes
She was damned beautiful, still.
I folded my arms over my chest, my knee bouncing. I sat like some slouch, and she was as stiff as a stick. Still talking. Her lips moved. Every now and then, she'd lick them, and I tilted my head. In a past life, I'd pushed my cock between those lips.
She shifted in her seat and sat a bit straighter. "I'm asking for permission. I know I don’t need it, but—"
"No, you really don’t," I replied flatly. Why she wanted to write our train wreck of a story was beyond me. I shrugged. "You said it'd be anonymous."
"No names," she confirmed. "No details that would give anyone up, nothing that led up to…" She gave the room a glance and winced.
I stared at her. "You can say prison, Ade."

1998
"Destruction! Destruction! Destruction!"
The Forum in LA was alive tonight.
Mikey got behind the drums, his kid brother having taken care of soundcheck. We were getting lazy. Everything was handed to us. Tony followed, zipping up his leathers after a pre-show blow job. A roadie handed him his guitar. Then Sam joined, and we were ready.
"Destruction! Destruction! Destruction!"
I drained my beer and threw it somewhere behind the amps.
The second I hit the first chord, the arena erupted in cheers, screams, and stomping feet. I repeated the six-note lick a few times, teasing the audience. The buzz coursed through me and mingled with the coke; these days, it was the only way I knew I was alive. It put a grin on my face, and my heart pumped blood through my system, offering a moment where I was fucking ecstatic. A moment where these shitheads weren't so shitty, after all. Maybe I even loved them for seeing me as a god who could do no wrong.

Adeline Ivey
1998
"Can I come with you on tour?" I asked casually. "When are you leaving, again?" Men like it when you don't want it. "I mean, I wouldn’t sleep with you," I tossed out flippantly. Lying through my teeth.
That crashed and burned. He didn’t see a challenge. "Don't worry, I don’t fuck twelve-year-olds."
"Ouch." Except, it didn’t hurt at all. "I'm eighteen, numbnuts." I sat up in the grass, my hair spilling down my front.
"Do you even know what to do with a cock?"
"I suck it like a lollipop." I showed my palms, a lazy grin on my face. "Sorry, no virtue to protect."
He merely laughed, and I bit my lip and scrunched my nose. So…? Was he gonna let me tag along? A girl had to know. Then he nodded and stood up.
"The bus is at the Beverly Wilshire. Be there at seven AM and ask for Lincoln."
He started walking away while I did a little shimmy in the grass. Fuck yes, I was going on tour. More importantly, I was leaving the West Coast! That made me giggle, but I stopped when I had another question.
"Who's Lincoln?" I called after him.
He flicked his cigarette into the pool. "The guy whose cock you'll suck like a lollipop."
*   *   *
2007
It messed with me, having a fresh memory of Lincoln.
In the last decade, he'd become more and more a ghost. A twinge that tugged at me every now and then, or visited me when I slept. Now there was the crystal-clear image of his face and hardened features, his body in that navy blue, scrub-like prison uniform, and fuck-off attitude. He despised me.
"Where's Abel?" Jesse asked quietly.
"Not home from school yet." I walked over to him and rubbed his neck gently. "You look more and more like your father every day. You know that?"
He smiled faintly and closed his eyes. "I miss him."
"Me, too." I refused to get emotional. In front of Jesse and his little brother, I had to remain strong.

About the Author

There aren't many things better than picking up my Kindle and getting completely sucked into a whole new world—where words morph into images and characters' moods suddenly reflect my own. Aside from good plot and writing, for me, it boils down to relatable characters.

As a writer, I'm not finished until the men and women in my books come to life, until I can see them as real people, until I can connect with them. Which means I write what I want to read: everyday heroes and heroines who have the same struggles we all do. They evolve, have flaws, make mistakes and amends, learn, and find the endings they fight for.

Those are the characters who take the readers on a journey away from work, laundry, grocery shopping, and to-do lists.

When I'm not writing, researching, or brainstorming, I'm either planning my next trip (never-ending bucket list!), reading, watching hockey, or spending time with family and friends.

Review
(By Cindy)

I have been a fan of M/M romance for some time, so when I found out Ruth Clampett had written one, I couldn’t wait to read it, and it was definitely worth the wait.

Jason and Dean have been best friends for most of their lives. Both now in college pursuing their dream of becoming architects, feelings begin to emerge that threaten to jeopardize their friendship, and secrets from the past could all but destroy one of them.

Unforgiven is a wonderfully written story of coming out and finding love, but it’s also much more. Several times the challenges Jason and Dean faced left me with a lump in my throat, and I had to close the book and walk away. Unforgiven is not fast-paced. Rather, it carefully – perhaps even methodically – examines the challenges that discovering ones sexuality can bring, as well as the pain that discovery often reveals both for the discoverer and for those in their lives. Author Ruth Clampett tackles emotional topics that are, at times, difficult to read, and sometimes even more difficult to understand, but she does so in such a way that it makes the journey worth the heartache.

Five responsibly, beautifully written stars.

Excerpt

“What started all of this tonight? First I walk in on you having sex with yourself … then you grill me about having sex with Ramon … and then you suggest we have sex.” He rakes his fingers through his hair. “You’re making me crazy, dude. How much did you drink anyway?” “Enough to loosen up and let my mind go places it normally doesn’t.” His eyes light up. “I’ll say.” “Hey, I’m really curious now. Will you let me fuck you? I promise I’ll follow what you want and take it slow.” “Oh Jesus. Are you serious? So more experimenting, huh?” “I think it’ll help me understand more about you.” “You know when I said I needed more, this isn’t exactly what I meant. Don’t get me wrong, the idea of you fucking me is making me hard as hell, but it’ll just complicate things even more.” “It doesn’t have to complicate things. Is it really so crazy to just want to make each other feel good?” I pause for a moment. “Come on, JJ.” Lifting myself off the bed, I slowly approach him. As I get closer, I press my naked body into him so he’s up against the doorjamb, then I boldly rub my palm over his hard cock that’s trapped in his pajama bottoms. I take a sharp breath because I’m shocked I’m even suggesting fucking my best friend. This is crazy, but feeling myself against him and imagining him naked under me is turning me on like a rocket with a sparking fuse. He stands frozen, every part of him perfectly still, and then he gasps for air. “Please, Dean, please tell me you aren’t toying with me.” I press my face into his neck. “I’m not toying with you, man. I don’t know what’s happening to me, but I have all these confusing feelings and my curiosity is through the roof. I’ve been so damn restless lately, and suddenly I have a feeling that if I turn a corner, I might find myself right where I need to be.” Jason slides his arm along my lower back and curves his fingers around my side, then pulls me closer. “Don’t make me hope for something, and then crush me. I wouldn’t be able to take it. Our friendship means everything to me. It’s why I’m still standing and fighting for a future, when for a long time I wasn’t sure if I deserved one.” I pull my head back so we can be face to face. It guts me to see so much pain in his eyes. Why the hell didn’t I see all of this before? He’s my best friend, dammit. I should have known he was hurting. He shakes his head. “I can’t lose you, Dean. I can’t. Tread carefully, man.” His eyes are glazed like he’s fighting back tears. I take his hand and guide him into my room. “You aren’t going to lose me. Maybe this whole thing of me learning your secrets happened to bring us closer.” “I want that,” he whispers, and then more softly he murmurs, “I want you.” SBPR-RC-U-AN

Review
    (by Cindy)

I’ve been in love with the ladies of Seduction since the very beginning. Kristen Proby has created strong female characters who are not only competent and smart in business, but who also know exactly what it is they want in other aspects of their lives as well. Blush For Me is the latest in the Fusion series, and it’s Kat’s story.

Here’s what I love about Kat. Not only is she all the things I said I love about Kristen’s female characters, but Kat also has a vulnerability that makes her believable and real. I want to be Kat’s friend! Oh, make no mistake, Kat is a capable and confident woman, but every strength has a corresponding weakness; one she cannot hide, even from to the stranger seated next to her in First Class.

Enter, Mac.  Oooh-la-la.  What’s not to love about a caring, and did I mention gorgeous, man when he’s coming to the aid of the beautiful panicked woman in the next seat. Gotta love a guy who takes charge! But you gotta love him even more that he knows when to let the woman take the lead, and he’s just ready to step in when she needs him – even when she may not know she does. I was in love with Mac in Chapter One!

Blush For Me is, of course, the romance between Mac and Kat, but it’s rich with back story, family drama, and even a little danger, that elevates it to something more. Oh, and yes, of course Kat’s Seduction partners (whom we’ve met before) have supporting roles. The ladies of Seduction are good for a few laughs and maybe even a few tears with some especially sweet and tender moments.

Kristen Proby’s Fusion series just keeps getting better and better.

Five sweet and sexy stars.

Excerpt

“You’re going to have a great time.” She hugs me close. “There are lots of signs and people to ask if you get lost in there, but it’s not a big airport, so you should be fine. Call me when you get there.”
“If I get there,” I say and sigh deeply. “Why do I feel like I’m never going to see you again?”
“Because you’re being dramatic,” she replies and smiles brightly. “Have fun!”
And with that, she waves and drives away and I’m left alone to figure out this airport hell.
But Riley was right. Checking in and dropping my bag off is easy. Finding security is easy.
Getting frisked by the TSA guy would have been more fun if he’d looked like Charlie Hunnam, but then again, everything would be more fun with Charlie.
I follow the signs, find my gate, and am pleasantly surprised to find a bar directly across from it.
                There is a god.
But once at the bar, I’m just too nervous to drink.
                That’s a first.
Who in the hell gets too nervous to drink? This girl, apparently.
So I wander back to the gate and pace, dragging my small black hard-sided suitcase with red cherries on it behind me. People glance my way, but I ignore them. I’m used to it. You don’t dress the way I do, covered in sleeve tattoos, and not get looks.
Finally, my flight is called and they begin boarding. Before I know it, I’m sitting on the plane, three rows from the front—if I’m going to die, it’s going to be in first class—in the aisle seat.
“Hello,” the man next to me says. I glance his way, taking in his light brown hair and green eyes, and if we were anywhere but here, I would totally flirt with him.
But we’re on a motherfucking airplane.
“Hi,” I reply and swallow hard. The flight attendant asks us if we’d like anything to drink before we take off, but I shake my head no and stare at the pilot sitting in the cock pit. “Don’t they close that door?”
“Right before we take off,” my travel companion says. I’m surprised that I spoke aloud. “Hey, are you okay?”
                “Fine.”
He’s silent for a moment and I keep staring at the pilot. I want to march up there and tell him to make sure that we get there in one piece. What are his credentials, anyway? I want to see his license, and a few letters of recommendation wouldn’t hurt either.
“I’m Mac.” I slide my eyes to him and nod, then whip my gaze back to the front.
                “Kat.”

Mister Romance by Leisa Rayven

Coming in 2017
from the Internationally best-selling author
of Bad Romeo

M I S T E R   R O M A N C E
Max Riley is the man of your dreams. Or at least he will be, for a price.

As his alter-ego Mister Romance, Max is a drop-dead gorgeous escort who makes romantic fantasies come to life. No sex, just swoon-worthy dates to die for, and the cream of New York's socialites can't get enough.  Whether they want a dominating billionaire, bad boy with a heart of gold, hot geek, sexy biker, or best friend who loves them from afar, Max can make it all happen, but he's careful to keep his real identity a secret.

Enter investigative journalist Eden Tate. Having caught wind of the urban legend of Mister Romance from a lovestruck client, Eden is determined to publish a scathing expose on Max and his ability to swindle lonely society women out of their fortunes.

Desperate to protect his anonymity and his clients, Max challenges Eden to give him three dates. If she doesn't fall in love with him, she can run her story with his blessing. If she succumbs to his charms, the story dies.

Cynical Eden has no doubt she can resist his fake romance personas, but when the real Max admits he’s falling for her, she has to decide if the professional liar is telling the truth, or if the passionate man with the mysterious past is just one more character designed to con her out of her career-making story.
