Review - Nuts by Alice Clayton

The New York Times bestselling author of Wallbanger and Rusty Nailed is back with Nuts, the first in a brand new series set in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley.

Roxie Callahan is a private chef to some of Hollywood’s wealthiest, and nastiest, calorie-counting wives. After a dairy disaster implodes her carefully crafted career in one fell ploop, she finds herself back home in upstate New York, bailing out her hippie mother and running the family diner.

When gorgeous local farmer Leo Maxwell delivers her a lovely bunch of organic walnuts, Roxie wonders if a summer back home isn’t such a bad idea after all. Leo is heavily involved in the sustainable slow food movement, and he likes to take his time. In all things. Roxie is determined to head back to the west coast as soon as summer ends, but will the pull of lazy fireflies and her very own Almanzo Wilder be enough to keep her home for good?

Salty. Spicy. Sweet. Nuts. Go on, grab a handful.

**MY REVIEW**

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!

Alice Clayton is witty, smart, and knows how to tell a story.

The thing I love most about Clayton's writing is that while reading, I get a sense of sisterhood with her heroine.

Almost, as if Clayton was on the phone telling me a story, instead of me reading her words.

I LOVE THAT!!

Now let's get on with the book...

Roxie wanted the farthest thing from her old town life, and found it in sunny California. When a "butter incident" goes awry, there's no better timing than now, when her mother asks her to return home.

Once back in her hometown, Roxie meets "Farmer Leo."

Oh my, is he HOT!!

So hot, there are two different scenes where Roxie can't help herself! (I don't blame you, girl!)

“I want you to fuck me raw, then come all over me. I want to be covered in you, slippery and wet and filthy dirty.”

And...

“Oh, God, do you know what it does to me when you call me that?” I sighed. “It makes me want to do the splits.”

“The splits?” he asked, that corner of his mouth lifting. “On your face.” I patted his cheek as his jaw dropped open. “Okay, time to go.”

Nuts by Alice Clayton is out now, and I give this book 6-stars and deem this "Sexy Read Approved!"

= For those books that were extra special for me. Sometimes they moved me emotionally or made me think deeply about a topic. Sometimes they were beautiful stories. Most of the time they were the books that I need to own and will reread over and over again because I love the characters and story.
