I have been a fan of The Professor (Dean West) and his Beauty (Olivia) from the very beginning. Nina Lane’s Spiral of Bliss series has taken her readers on an up and down journey with these characters over the years of their relationship. We’ve laughed with them, cried with them, rejoiced with them, and even (admittedly) sighed with some of their intimate, and sexy escapades. 

Just when I’d thought that the West’s story had ended with a sweet little novella called Arrive, the author surprised her fans with Adore. And what a welcome surprise it was!

The story of Liv and Dean picks up a little way down the road, with Dean doing what he does best – awing the academic and historical world with his knowledge and influence. Liv is busy doing some awing of her own as she finds her passion both as a mother, business owner extraordinaire, and community volunteer extraordinaire.  Life seems perfect for the Wests, but Dean and Liv are struggling to keep up with all their commitments, while not losing their connection with one another in the process.

Nina Lane has done it again with Adore. Dean and Liv may be fictional characters, but they are so real that I sometimes forget they aren’t people I know. Their personalities are so carefully and perfectly developed. The author treats these two and their relationship with such care that you’d swear (or wish) it was all real.

If you haven’t read the first books of the Spiral of Bliss series, I strongly suggest you do. While Adore could be read as a standalone, it will mean so much more if you know the West’s whole story. Start with Arouse. Follow them through Allure and Awaken. Knowing their journey will make Adore just that much sweeter. And for those who don’t like cliffhangers, having all the books of the series already at your disposal means you won’t have to hold your breath and wait.
